熱えapp is dedicated to providing ongoing, customized professional learning for its employees. To emphasize personalized professional development, the district has set aside two Professional Learning Exchange Days (PLED) for campus-based exempt staff. These days allow staff to exchange two regular work days for two non-duty days focused on professional learning that enhances skills in key district areas.


What is PLED?

Professional Learning Exchange Days (PLED) are paid days off in exchange for 12 hours of professional
learning you pursue on your own time. The goal of PLED is to incentivize learning opportunities that
align to your specific job role and your personal and professional goals. PLED for SY 25-26 are
October 10, 2025, and February 16, 2026.

 

Which Staff Members are Eligible?

Campus-based exempt staff: teachers, counselors, librarians, instructional coaches, content
interventionists, and administrators. PLED requirements will be tracked as part of employee appraisals.

 

How Do I Fulfill PLED Requirements?

PLED is tracked in Perform through the PGR component of the annual appraisal. You will indicate what
professional learning you completed, and your appraiser will confirm.

Learning

Attend 12 hours of PLED-eligible professional learning. This could be AISD-provided PL that occurs outside the duty day or PL from outside providers for which you are not paid nor have a sub provided. See the  for additional details.

Facilitating PL for Colleagues

Coordinate with your campus leadership team to plan and facilitate professional learning for your colleagues. See the for additional details.

Participate in Cohorts

Eligible staff participating in the following cohorts/programs earn all 12 required PLED hours:

  • TIP Welcome Week (8/4-8/6)
  • Leadership Pathways
  • National Board Candidates
  • Reading Academies
  • P3, AP3, or Ignite
  • Alternative Certification Program
  • Graduate School Hours
