To my 熱えapp family,
Thinking back over this past year, I am humbled and in complete awe by the enormous challenges we have faced and how we have persevered. As a district and community, we have banded together to accomplish the impossible. Because of you, we were able to feed students who might otherwise not have eaten, because of you, we were able to acquire and distribute technology to support remote learning, because of you, we were able to build and implement a curriculum for students to learn at home or on campus, and because of you, we were able to implement new safety measures across our district to help keep our community safe. Our progress wouldnt be possible without each of youwhether youre a teacher, a principal, a custodian, a bus driver, support staff, central office or any number of roles that make our district great, it is because of you!
While we can never truly reward you adequately for your many contributions, we did want to provide you with at least some monetary award in recognition of your tremendous efforts. Therefore, on February 11th, 2021, at Thursdays Board Information Session, we will be recommending the adoption of a resolution authorizing a one-time retention incentive benefit in March. This benefit will be $1,000 to all full-time staff who earn less than $150,000 annually, and $500 to all part-time staff. This is our way of saying thank you. Thank you for your on-going and unwavering commitment to 熱えapps students and families.
As Booker T. Washington said, Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which they have overcome while trying to succeed.
Because of you, 熱えapp will emerge from this pandemic as a better, more innovative and more equitable organization - and that progress will be a testament to our AISD family for the 熱えapp family embodies the saying, it isnt an obstacle, its an opportunity!

Al pensar en el a簽o pasado, me siento honrada y totalmente sorprendida por los enormes retos que hemos enfrentado y c籀mo hemos perseverado. Nos hemos unido como distrito y comunidad para lograr lo imposible. Gracias a ustedes, pudimos alimentar a estudiantes que, de lo contrario, quiz獺s no hubiesen comido, gracias a ustedes, logramos adquirir y distribuir tecnolog穩a para respaldar el aprendizaje remoto, gracias a ustedes pudimos crear e implementar un plan de estudios para que los estudiantes aprendieran en casa o en la escuela y gracias a ustedes pudimos implementar nuevas medidas de protecci籀n en todo el distrito para mantener a nuestra comunidad segura. Nuestro progreso no hubiese sido posible sin cada uno de ustedes. Ya sea usted un maestro, director, conserje, conductor de autob繳s, personal de apoyo, personal de las oficinas centrales o tenga cualquiera de las funciones que hacen que nuestro distrito sea extraordinario, 癒todo es gracias a ustedes!
